An Evening of Literary Connection
There are moments in our journeys as authors that transcend the solitary act of writing and remind us why we put pen to paper in the first place. The Divine 9 Author Panel at Sharon Hill Library was precisely one of those moments. As I stood among my fellow authors, each holding our literary creations with pride, I felt a profound sense of gratitude. The room buzzed with intellectual energy, warmth, and the shared passion for storytelling that bound us together. From spiritual workbooks to parenting guides and inspirational memoirs, the diversity of our works reflected the rich tapestry of experiences within our community.
Coming Together Through Literature
The Sharon Hill Library provided the perfect backdrop for our multicultural authors showcase. Surrounded by shelves of books from generations past and present, we added our voices to this ongoing conversation. My books: Levels of Faith: Faith for One Season May Be Different than Faith for Another Season, Levels of Faith Workbook: Strengthening Your Faith & Connection with God, He Guided Me Through The Storm, HELP!: Support for Parents of Children with Learning and Thinking Differences to Feel Confident, Capable, and Fulfilled, The Parent and Caregivers Guide: Overcoming the Odds of Disabilities, Medical Challenges, Mental Health Disorders, and Trauma, Revamp Your Life, and Living All Out, lay before me as testimonies to my journey. Each represents a different facet of spiritual growth, personal development, and community support that I’ve been blessed to share.
Gratitude for Visionary Leadership
This gathering wouldn’t have been possible without Mr. Richard Emmanuel Ashby Jr., whose vision and dedication to literacy continues to open doors for authors like myself. His organization, Literacy Nation, Inc., has become a powerful force for promoting diverse voices and ensuring our stories reach the readers who need them most.
Richard doesn’t just organize events—he builds bridges. His ability to bring together authors from various backgrounds and experiences creates spaces where creativity flourishes and connections deepen. As I watched him coordinate the panel with his characteristic enthusiasm and attention to detail, I was reminded once again why his work is so essential.
Looking Forward
As we posed for photographs, exchanged ideas, and signed books for eager readers, I couldn’t help but feel optimistic about the future of multicultural literature. In that room, I saw the next generation of readers finding themselves in our stories, perhaps inspired to someday write their own.
The Divine 9 Author Panel wasn’t just about showcasing our books—it was about demonstrating the power of representation, the importance of diverse perspectives, and the enduring value of community support. From the young person to the elders who shared their wisdom, every person present contributed to the rich tapestry of the evening.
A Personal Note of Thanks
To close, I must express my heartfelt gratitude to Richard Emmanuel Ashby Jr. and Literacy Nation, Inc. for their unwavering support of authors like myself. You are truly opening doors and creating platforms where our voices can resonate. The work you do ripples outward, touching lives far beyond the walls of Sharon Hill Library.
It was indeed an honor to be part of the Divine 9 Authors Showcase, and I look forward to many more opportunities to connect, inspire, and grow together through the written word.
