What Is 764?
764 is a violent online network that targets children and vulnerable young people on the platforms they use every day, including popular games, chat apps, and social media. Members often pose as peers, build trust, and then use manipulation, threats, and blackmail to pressure children into harming themselves or others.
The FBI has issued a public warning about a sharp increase in activity by 764 and related networks, noting that they operate on gaming platforms and other apps commonly used by young people.
Beyond the Game is non-graphic and designed for adult audiences. We share what parents and leaders need to know to recognize warning signs and respond, without disturbing details.
Why This Talk Matters
It’s More Than a Game. It’s a Social Experience.
Many parents believe their children aren’t on social media yet because they “only play games.” But many games let players chat, send messages, join groups, and make friends with people outside their real-world circle.
Those connections can bring teamwork, creativity, and belonging. They can also bring people who don’t have a child’s best interests at heart.
Why Neurodivergent Children Need Extra Preparation
For many neurodivergent children, gaming is where friendship finally feels easy. That is a gift, and it is also why they need extra preparation. A child who takes words literally, misses subtle social cues, or has longed to be understood may not recognize when a new “friend” is building trust for the wrong reasons.
Beyond the Game helps families and the adults who serve them understand why social-emotional readiness, digital safety education, and open communication matter before children navigate online relationships on their own.
